What Are The Astral Projection Techniques For An OBE

By Robert Engelhardt

For people who are interested in astral projection, you will find that there are a number of different astral projection techniques that you can try. While keeping in mind that we are all different and that while one technique that is pure gold for one person doesn't work for another at all, you will find that there are techniques out there that can work for you.

Sometimes people have some difficulties with some methods and because they aren't able to relax, not because the technique doesn't work.

It simply cannot be stressed enough that total relaxation is vital if you are to achieve any measure of success with astral projection. The inability to relax seems to be more prevalent between those just starting out, largely because of fear.

The fears are the result of false beliefs that maybe harm, or even death could come to the person who is trying astral project. To help alleviate those fears the Canterbury Institute conducted and researched a study. The Canterbury Institute is well know for their studies of the occult.

All the people who took part in the research had participated in astral projection and institute determined that not one of those people were harmed in any way after having followed the various techniques. Furthermore, having followed the 2,000 people for no less than three years, the institute also establishrd the fact that nobody reported any problems.

All fears have been put to rest. Now lets look at some astral projection techniques, which are easy and have been very successful for many people. Here are the seven steps of astral projection techniques.

* First, make sure that you are relaxed in mind and body. Some people will get there through slowing their breath and breathing deep. You can relax your body consciously, starting with one muscle group tensing and then relaxing before working on the next.

* Reaching a hypnotic state. Essentially you need to reach a point where your mind and body is just on the verge of going to sleep, although of course you don't want to actually fall asleep. This can be achieved by using the gazing method. Simply lie on your bed and begin staring at something until such time that your eyes close and yet you're still able to see the object.

* Once you can see the object with closed eyes and you need to deepen this state you are in. The best way is to look around (eyes closed) see whatever you can see. It's possible you may see different forms of light patterns and may even notice the room has become cloaked in a purple light. Ignore this and don't pay any attention to it. When you have stopped seeing this light you'll know that you've entered a deeper state. Being so completely relaxed, you will no longer even be aware of your physical body.

* This is the most vital step, where you have to enter a state of Vibration. Many who have been practicing the seven techniques of astral projection, find that the vibrations are felt early in the projection. And they believe this is felt when you experience the astral body beginning to leave the physical body. Do not be afraid and feel the vibrations.

* Controlling the state of vibration. In order to do this one needs to focus on the vibrations and attempt to move them through your body. In other words you should aim to feel these vibrations throughout your body. When you reach this stage it should feel almost as if there are waves washing over you, but it is important that you continue practicing until such time that you can bring this on at will. When you reach a point where you can bring on these waves whenever you wish, then you're at a stage when you're ready to leave your physical body.

* Now you need to convince yourself that your mind has power and control. This is the stage with astral projection techniques where you will need to think about a partial separation. While this is going on, you will start to use your hand or your foot and to part it from your physical body. Move it up and away and try to pass it through a solid object that is near you. This can take some time and effort, but it is completely possible. Remember that once you have done that that you should return your body to its fully awake stage. Stay down until you are awake, and then you can move.

* In this last step you will get to separate from your physical body. You can simply follow all the steps already mentioned but this time, instead of only allowing your hand or foot to leave the physical body, you will allow total separation. Apart from a minor adjustment, this is virtually identical to step six. In this case you need to imagine that your body is weightless or that it is made up of feathers and that they are being blown around in the wind. As your astral body starts leaving your physical body you should begin to feel as though you are flying or perhaps floating.

Several other methods are available for you to try. One is the Rope Technique, and there is the Gazing Method, and also the Anchor Technique. Take some time and spend it practicing the seven steps of astral projection techniques and see what works best for you. There is a astral technique available for everyone and there is one for you.

You should, however, be aware that astral projection is not for everyone and to use and become familiar with the seven techniques of astral projection takes and requires a lot of practice.

However, a shortcut is available. The recent developments in the sound technology industry, have made available lots of audio tools and these can help you. Some of these techniques use unique sound frequencies called Binaural beats. These synchronize both of the hemispheres of the brain, that can put you immediately into a meditative state.

One can also opt for hypnosis recordings which have been designed to assist those interested in astral projection. These aim to reassure ones subconscious mind that it's perfectly acceptable for one to leave ones physical body.

Astral projection is something that can change your life, and by using some of the techniques listed above, you will find that it can definitely change yours, too!
