By Mark Schweintek

Reading is a hobby for many people and everyone has their own tastes. This year has seen a rise in young adult fantasy books, both with the authors and the readers. As the year starts to unfold many newcomers and old ones are concentrating on this particular genre.

Young readers, taking much interest in the fantasized worlds, welcome this trend. These fictive writings are seen as an escape route from all the hustle and bustle of the world, by the youngsters, who in today's world are surrounded by stress and tensions. Only the very best of these books are seen gaining vast popularity.

One such book is "The Wind through the Keyhole", written by the world renowned writer Stephen King. This is a tri-story, with each story enclosed in another. It is the story of a guy named Roland, who narrates a story to his ka-tet, about a time when he met a frightened boy, when he was hunting for a shape shifter.

Then Roland comforted the boy by telling a story told by his mother. Another recent fictive writing by Mr. King has gained popularity, which goes by the name "11/22/63". It is a fantastic story with many mixed up genres, including history, fiction and love.

This is about a teacher time traveling to the early 60s, accidentally, when she steps through a portal. She then tries to change a historical event, by stopping the assassination of JFK from taking place. The story then takes a turn to unleash a new history coupled with suspense and love.

These books and others serve as the perfect pieces of literature. They include morals and life lessons for the teenagers who take guidance about life and its decisions from here. The deepest problems which a teenager might even hide from his parents are addressed to in these young adult fantasy books.
