Some Practical Mouse Removal Options

By Adriana Noton

Mice may be cute as exemplified by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, but they are not so cute when it comes to them invading your home or office in real life. Should you be experiencing mouse problems in the home then perhaps you may need some good squirrel removal techniques. Here is an article that will help you get rid of these small rodents without you resorting to calling an expensive exterminator.

Learning a few simple procedures and rules is all that is needed to put to a halt a possible rodent advance o your home or office. By following these procedures you can buy time in lessening the likelihood of a full bodied attack and infestation of small gray rodents. This article covers some practical and tested methods in answering your mouse problem.

The first option is to get rid of clutter in the room or area in question. As mice love to nest in cluttered areas, it is just logical that to get rid of them would mean to get rid of clutter. An area in your home or office building that has been unused for sometime and used mostly as a storage area will be more prone to mouse invasions. Try to look for time to get rid of garbage and junk in storage areas.

A good option to choose also is to avoid eating in restricted areas. Restricted areas here mean areas other than the dining room or kitchen areas. Most people have gotten used to eating anywhere they like, be it the bedroom, living room or even the bathroom! This sort of eating habit causes crumbs and food particles to be dropped clandestinely anywhere thus attracting rodents and pests.

Always get rid of garbage, especially organic and food garbage in the soonest possible time. That is do not let it stand for more than a few hours. Most people allow their trash to sit in containers for days on end. This gives an opportunity for it to attract unwanted guests.

The more aggressive approach in dealing with this problem is to kill the rodents directly. This can be done with the use of powders and bait but it is not recommended. This is due to the fact that the mouse can die somewhere hidden or untraceable such as in the walls or air ducts. Thus when they die they can send out one bad stench indeed for a few days if not even weeks.

Thus instead of the chemical solution you go for the more mechanical solution of using tradition rat traps and electric traps. With these traps there is no danger of a missing body that will rot somewhere in the house, you can get rid of the body most conveniently before decomposition occurs. Just make sure that the body is wrapped up tight in some plastic when disposing so that no other creatures can get to it.

When the time comes that the infestation may be a little too much, then it is tome to call an exterminator. This is especially true when they have started a huge nest or colony and multiply very fast. This is a job that can then best be handled by a professional.
