Cameroon is situated in west-central Africa along the Gulf of Guinea. Popular for its multiplicity in culture, climate and geography, it is also named as "Africa in miniature". Cameroon's ethnic communities possess their own authentic traditional varieties.

They commemorate, childbirths, harvesting festivals, losses and many other sacred rituals. Music and dance are an important part of the everyday life of Cameroonians. Story narration, rites, social gatherings are standard programs. They have several musical instruments, drums and flutes which are the most favorite.

The families in Cameroon assemble for single course large meal quite often in the evenings. The staple diet relies upon the tribal groups, but rice and yams, cassava, maize, potatoes, fufu (cous-cous) are included in routine meals. Palm wine and millet beer are favorite refreshments.

Arts and crafts are an attraction to Cameroon. They are utilized for holy and commercial products. The chief faith is Christianity, but nevertheless there are quite a few traditional and religious groups scattered over the vicinity. Literacy rates are poor in Cameroon. Farming and Husbandry are major professions in Cameroon.

You can advise females with counseling, maternity care counseling, spread important information to protect against domestic violence, advise foster parents.
