LBJ Presidential Library

This top rated museum in the U.S.A. is a place you shouldn't miss while visiting Austin. It showcases the America's 36th President, Lyndon Baines Johnson, displaying all his life and what he did for the country.

Texas State Capitol

The impressive Texas State Capitol building is open to the overall public and is fully free to enter. One of the top attractions in Austin, it isn't to be missed.

Austin Museum of Art

The Austin Museum of Art plays host to a good range of art exhibits and paintings. Though the exhibits regularly change, the museum is focused on latest design. Recently mixed with the Arthouse at the Jones Center museum, a visit to this museum is amongst the top things worth doing in Austin.

Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum

This mesmerizing museum holds many exhibits about Texas state history and way of life as well as a large IMAX theater. The best way to get familiarized with the state, a visit here is both fun and instructional for each age.

Zilker Metropolitan Park

Austin's central park and a major middle of social and cultural life in the town.

Fantastically manicured and spanning 351 spotless acres, Zilker Metropolitan Park is the best place to chill, take a relaxed stroll, have a picnic or simply enjoy the bright Texas weather. The park contains a substantial number of attractions like the Zilker Botanical Garden, the Umlauf Sculpture Garden and Museum, a theater and a sufficiency of sports and recreation fields.

Lady Bird Lake

Named after prior first lady Lady Bird Johnson, this lake is the perfect place to canoe and offers provoking points of view of the Austin skyline.

SoCo

Short for South of Congress Avenue, this shopping shangri la is home to a good spread of speciality shops, upscale shops and groovy stores.
