Approaches To Keep The Whiteness of Your Couch

Are you annoyed seeing your sofa so untidy? Or is your white sofa turning into something gloomy and depressing? Nobody wants to see a white sofa that is not white at all. It is so unpleasant to the eyes when we see sofas that are dirty and grimy. But, how do you keep your white sofa clean? Here are some ways to keep your white sofa free from dirt.

First, you need to remove every item that is on your sofa like pillow and cushions. After removing everything, use your vacuum cleaner to take away the dust and grime on your white sofa. This way, you prevent get your sofa dirtier when wet cloth is applied. Vacuum all curves and corners as well as the flat areas of the sofa.

If coffee, wine or soda is accidentally spilled out on your sofa, remove it by wiping it with dry cloth. Never let the stain stay for a period of time or it will be hard to get rid of it and may stay permanently. However, use a damp cloth when removing other powdery stains.

Many home cleaning substances can remove blemishes on your couch. Baking soda can remove stains caused by wine, coffee or soda. Red wine that is recently spilled can be detached from your sofa by using salt. Cornstarch is usually used to remove marks caused oil, grease or any form of lubricants.

Foam cleaners are produced by mixing ? cup of powder detergent and water at least ? cup. Make sure that you use white powder detergent since your sofa is white. Whip them to form a foamy stuff until it is already sticky. However, if your foam cleaner is too gluey, pour water on it. On the other hand, if your foam is too watery, then put in a little more powder.

Get a clean rag and put on your foam cleaner on it. Begin with wiping one side of the sofa, about 2 feet part. Then, wash the part with another damp cloth that is clean. Do the same procedure on the rest of the sofa. It will also make your sofa smell nicely other than just removing the marks.

To avoid putting dirt on your sofa again, do not vacuum it while it is still wet. Let it for dry first before vacuuming again. Your sofa usually takes 48 hours to fully dry. When it is already dry, then start vacuuming again to eliminate left over dirt or foam cleaner. Again, remember not to vacuum your sofa when it is still wet.

In cleaning our sofa, take your time and prevent too much scrubbing. Too much scrubbing may scratch your sofa and may damage the design of your sofa. Also, do not use any harmful cleaning solutions because they may impair the design of the sofa. Another thing to remember when cleaning your sofa, do not use rough cloth because they may also create scratch marks to your sofa.

Cleaning your white sofa might be a hard job, but the result will definitely make you smile. It is always nice to see a clean sofa to produce its elegance and stylishness.
